New year, new project

After a bit of a hiatus Papergirl Calgary is set to start planning the 2017 project. Anyone interested in working together this year please send an email to

We are doing things a little bit different this year – keeping it simple and making it all about collecting and delivering free art to Calgarians this summer. We also will volunteer for other organizations from time to time, whenever some extra community help is needed. So, if you have an hour  a month to spare to help plan the project or if you just want to meet for coffee and talk community or ideas send that email!

Talk soon,

Bike Your Beakerhead

Papergirl & Beakerhead have joined up to take you on a bike ride this Saturday so that you can see all of the amazing art installations around the city. Meet at Fort Calgary 10:00am at the Bike Valet. Lauren & Carrie will lead the ride which should be about 3 hours long, spending 15 minutes at each installation. The installations are out of the ordinary and you will get to photocopy yourself on a human sized photocopier so be sure to dress in your finest fun gear.

Sign up on Eventbrite to secure your spot.

Living a Creative Life

We are grateful that we are considered to be contributing to Living a Creative Life in Calgary!

Check out the article:

LIVING A CREATIVE LIFE is an arts development strategy for Calgary, by Calgarians. The strategy was produced through a rigorous consultation process facilitated by Calgary Arts Development and is a result of our year as a Cultural Capital of Canada in 2012.

Papergirl Calgary supports the following section of LIVING A CREATIVE LIFE‘s Artistic Exchange focus area:

  • Outcome: Made-in-Calgary artistic work has a high profile outside the city and is often found on tour in other regions, provinces and countries.
  • Driver: Raise the profile of our outstanding artists and arts organizations.
